Another day, another day...today I worked all day, which leaves me quite exhausted in the evening...you know that feeling of being so tired your eyes are burning and your mind keeps falling off task? but I heard wonderful stories about the day I missed and that woke me up a bit. Had a fire in the fireplace, which is certainly a sign of autumn now; it's about time. I can't stand the shortening of the days, though. Maybe we should spring ahead in the fall, too. Hmm...how long would it take to lose a full day that way?

restart

finished the porch couch and chair pillows, they came out looking better than I expected; now I don't know what to do next. I've got a bunch of projects I'd like to do, but can't decide if I want to do an involved project that will take a while or just a mini-project...so basically I am doing nothing. You know, aside from watching the red sox manage to be in a lock with the angels in the bottom of the seventh...I don't think I'll be awake for the end of this one. I should go to bed so I'll have energy to shop tomorrow. You know; and be able to make good decisions and all.

Stayed up too late last night and didn't feel it as much as I thought I would; but by the time I got home and got settled I was too tired to do anything, so I watched the red sox win and then I watched trashy tv, including something about child stars and something else about the guy from Poison; I am still not sure why I didn't just go to bed. And now the couch pillows for the porch still aren't done, but they haven't been done for a couple of months now, so that's nothing new. I've never tried a project this involved without using someone else's plan, so I'm pretty excited that I've actually cut out the foam without making a mistake (I had to use the couches, which are an ovoid shape, as the templates), and cut the fabric without running out. It's a striped fabric and I can't say I've been able to match up the stripes from one side of the pillow to another, but hey, it's my first attempt and I am definitely a novice!
